Hey everyone! I have decided to dedicate this 34.5 mile triathlon to the Tanzanian Education Foundation.
Let me tell you a little about this...TEF believes that there is a link between the extreme poverty and the inability to access education. Consequently, individuals find themselves limited in their capacity to engage in poverty alleviation strategies. Their mission is to remove these limitations by providing support in giving scholarships, and working with the community with the hopes that every child who wants an education in Arusha will receive one!
75 million children are out of school around the world, a figure equivalent to the entire primary school-age in Europe and North America.
With the money raised, we will be able to continue the education of 31 of those children.
