Welcome to 10th Annual OminoDay in the Park World Music Festival.
Our vision is to provide a cultural, artistic haven for our families and community as a whole. This vision was inspired by, and is in memory of Andrew “DJ Domino” Ele. DJ Domino was a youth advocate, community activist and a budding pillar in our community.
His music and community-based values were an inspiration to many. He strived to create safe spaces for people to gather, share positivity and heal through music. OminoDay was his vision and continues to embody his loving legacy.
The OminoDay Coordinating Committee is a grassroots collective comprised entirely of volunteers committed to bringing the community together in a whole day of music and movement. We dedicate our event to all the young people lost to violence in our communities and choose to celebrate their lives. We believe in hope, resilience and the healing power of community and art. We have been successful in reaching out to hundreds of people every year and this year we hope to do the same.
This year, OminoDay in the Park will take place on Saturday, June 3rd, 2017.
It will be held at the Jerry Garcia Amphitheater - John McLaren Park, a beautiful outdoor space that is safe, is surrounded by nature and tucked away in San Francisco's south-east corner.
