We at Reggae Runnerz are runners from various running groups across the US who have come together to "RUN...WHERE THE SUN MEETS THE SEA" at the Reggae Marathon in Negril Jamaica in December 2015.
Green Island High School
As a combined group, Reggae Runnerz supports Green Island High School in Jamaica by donating school supplies and slightly used sneakers. Green Island students have been making great strides, not only excelling academically, but the school fields a team in the Reggae Marathon and their athletes are exceptional. This year it is our plan to make a monetary donation to the school in order to assist student achievement through the use of improved technology.
Green Island High School strives to encourage each student as a unique individual, with the potential to become a valuable asset to society, in order to enhance his or her intellectual, social, emotional, and cultural development, enabling him or her to think critically, and creatively, and to be always socially acceptable.
Presently, the school's focus is on fostering the development of 21st Century skills in all students. Although the programme of technology-aided instruction is in its infancy, their commitment to its use is firm and unwavering.
No donation is too large or too small. Please support us in making an effort to enrich the lives of the children at Green Island
