Hello friends, family and anyone who wants to lend a helping hand,
Our beautiful friend, Gemma Francis, is currently facing the biggest challenge of her life.
Gemma has recently been diagnosed with an extremely rare type of ovarian cancer. So rare in fact, that her treatment plan is coming all the way from France. Gemma has already had some surgery and started chemotherapy treatment. Very soon she will undertake further surgery followed by more chemotherapy.
Because of her diagnosis, Gemma is unable to continue working for the time being. She does have a wonderful family who are able to financially support her during this difficult time. However, there are still a large number of everyday expenses Gemma has to keep up with, as well as all of the new expenses associated with her diagnosis. Things like medical expenses that aren’t covered, petrol for their numerous trips to and from the hospital, and various medications.
This is where we want to step in and help. As her friends, we feel as if we want to do everything and anything we can to help Gemma and her family – and we know there are plenty of others who want to do the same.
We want her family to be able to take time off work to be by Gemma’s side without having to stress.
We want them to be able to eat out when cooking is the last thing on their mind.
We want them to have the option to take time for themselves and enjoy a relaxing massage.
We want them to be able to have weekends away as a family.
We want Gemma to be able to keep herself busy while she’s unable to work.
And most of all we want Gemma to have the funds ready and waiting for her for when she’s kicked this thing where it hurts and is ready to get back to traveling the world again.
Gemma shouldn’t have to eat away at her savings that she’s worked so hard for over the years. She should be able to focus all of her energy on beating this thing and getting back to a normal life as soon as possible.
Gemma and her family are the nicest, loveliest people we’ve ever met. They have endless love and support for each other and are unbelievably strong.
Let’s all rally around Gemma and show her just how much we all love and adore her.
