Woody & Deanna Medical & Life Expenses

Hi, this is Janis, formally from the Woody & Janis show, and I am here to ask you to help me, help my friend. I started working with Woody (Steve Woods) just over five years ago, I was new to radio and scared I would just be a burden to the well-known and very experienced "Woody." However, it was completely the opposite! This man took me under his wing, gave me exceptional advice and let me, let my light shine. These past five years have been the highlight of my life and getting to know Woody and his family was a huge part of that! We shared so much with each other and in doing so, I learned a love that I envied and admired. That is the love of Woody and his wife, Deanna. They are the true example of a beautiful "love story."

I am so sad to say, this beautiful love story will be unfairly cut short. Just over a year ago Deanna was diagnosed with stage four pancreatic cancer. After meeting with her oncologist she learned without any treatment she would only have about three months to live! So, they opted for chemotheropy. The doctors estimated in doing so, she would hopefully have at least a year to live. To date, Deanna has had over thirty chemo treatments and is fighting hard. She is one of the most courageous, strong women I know and she will continue to fight!

What was once a two income household has now become one, and losing her insurance through her job, things have started to spiral. They are too proud to ask for help, but I am too stubborn not to make them accept some! So, this is me, Janis, asking for some help for the man who has brought so many laughs into your car radio each morning for so many years! Listening to Woody each morning you would never know what he and Deanna were going through. He has remained composed and professional, to bring the world the laughter they have relied upon!

But I knew. I saw, and it breaks my heart! I ask that you skip your morning coffee one day this week and donate that $5. Every dollar really does count! I would love to bring these beautiful people some financial relief and it be one less worry on their plate. If you can't donate, I ask that you please pass this along and show Deanna and Woody so much love! I appreciate you helping me, help them!
