January of 2024 Everett will be launching its 1st virtual resource community: Everett DEEDS.
Everett DEEDS is a virtual resource community governed by its residents to provide guidance, economic support, and resources that improve the quality of life in Everett. Our members work collaboratively to discover what residents care about, address challenges facing the city, and develop practical solutions based on data and needs.
A DEED is a positive action performed to add value from one person to another.
A DEED is also known as a legal inheritance of Value.
DEEDS is built on the idea that power should be given to those individuals whose actions, contributions, and Good DEEDS have proven their ability to responsibly advocate and make decisions for the greater good of the community.
The DEEDS Method creates a structure for individuals to be acknowledged, valued, and compensated based on their DEEDS (their contributions to the good of humanity).
Will Smith said “If you're not making someone else's life better, then you're wasting your time. Your life will become better by making other lives better.”
When we help our neighbors, we are essentially helping ourselves.
