Jack Stauffer

Don protégé
In December 2020 Jack was in front of his house walking his dog when he slipped on a patch of wet grass and that moment changed his life forever. He’d recently had his right kneecap replaced but this accident would severely damage the quadriceps tendon of his left knee. After multiple surgeries, they found they could not repair the catastrophic damage to his right knee. Jack has been through many months of rehabilitation and battled severe infections that recently lead to sepsis. This life-threatening condition is his body’s response to the damage inside his leg. Surgeons agreed that his leg must be amputated above the knee. He is currently battling an infection in his bloodstream. Last night (Jan 14) the amputation was performed. When he woke up, his first words to Katy were “Did the 49ers win?” and “I’m alive!!!” Ya gotta love this guy!!!

This Go Fund Me page for Jack and his family is so they will be able to have medical caregivers at home following the surgery. He will need 3-6 months to heal before they discuss prosthetics. Insurance as we all know cannot possibly cover all the care he will require in the coming months.

There is a great urgency for this @gofundme page so try not to wait. Please follow your heart and let us come together for Jack. Donate now. Give what you can…and maybe a little extra.
