DMT DRSG Big Strides for Little Legs 2022

DMT Dachshund Rescue & Support Group is a registered charity (SCO51269) with the sole purpose of rescuing dachshunds from the meat trade in China & Korea and bringing them to loving homes in the UK

 

To date (April 2022) we have 43 dachshunds in the UK living safe, healthy and happy lives. We also have 30 rescued in China/S. Korea who are safe and awaiting their time to fly home.

 

Included in the 30 is our 8 puppies (Twiglet, Poppy, Peanut, Buddy, Dave. Florence, Mabel, Marley) and their 2 mummies (Nancy and Maggie) who were rescued in November 2021. We didn't think the puppies would survive due to being so susceptible to disease but fast forward 5 months and we have 8 heathy puppies and their two proud mummies. All 10 will be ready to fly home in July at the significant cost of £30k!! So on 5th June we (and our own daxies) will be taking on a mammoth 10 mile sponsored walk from the top of the Cairngorm mountain down in to Aviemore. This is where you come in, we need all the pennies we can get and therefore we would be so grateful if you can give anything to help go towards the flight costs, no amount is too small.

 

All are welcome to join us on the walk from 11am on 5th June 2022 meeting at the top of the Cairngorm Mountain, Aviemore. We will finish at the Old Bridge inn where light snacks and drinks will be provided. 10 miles too much? We will also have a 5 mile option to allow everyone to participate.
