Azaelea Bleichner is diagnosed with Chronic myelogenous leukemia and receiving care at the University of Minnesota Masonic Children's Hospital as of March 25, 2020. This is a slowly progressing and uncommon type of blood-cell cancer that begins in the bone marrow. This is a very rare cancer especially for someone so young.
Azaelea is currently undergoing a Stem Cell Transplant with high hopes of a cure.
Costs of treatment and travel are accumulating rapidly. Covid restrictions are causing additional difficulties. Any assistance is appreciated during these tough times.
