Visas for Elgon Youth Brass Band - HONK! Fest USA

In 2019 Saved by Music Foundation was kindly invited to perform at HONK! Brass Festival in Boston, Massachusetts, USA.

However, like so many other travel plans made for the summer of 2020, the performance and festival had to be postponed due to the Covid-19 Pandemic.

Over the last two years, SBMF and HONK! have been collaborating online, sharing their talents and preparing for the rescheduled festival this October. This is an amazing opportunity for members to be internationally recognized, meet other talented musicians as well as make lasting connections, it is the hope that these experiences will lead to sustainable benefits both socially and financially. HONK! festival organizers are generously covering the cost of transport, accommodation and expenses while the twelve chosen members are in the US.

Entry Visas to the US must be supplied and paid for by the foundation, which is why we need your assistance. Still impacted by the loss of income during the last two years of Covid and now confronting high inflation rates and rising cost of living, the foundation is currently under a lot of finacial pressure to provide for its members.

Your support can help open new doors for the foundation and its members and hopefully establish ongoing relationships that will allow more international access for supports.
