Looking to find a 10k run near you? It can be the perfect challenge to look forward to in 2023 – great for getting a personal best or even as a challenge for a novice runner. We’ve put together a list of 10k events to help you find a 10k, whether it’s pounding the pavements or a trail run. Dublin Mountain 10k

The Dublin Mountain 10k is a trail run hosted by the Dublin Mountain Running Club, taking place in the Glencullen mountains. It takes in views of the beautiful scenery along the way.

Wicklow Gaol Break 

The Wicklow Gaol Break 10k is a beautiful scenic run about 40 minutes from Dublin. You’ll be running alongside more than 2,000 participants and finishing in the courtyard area of Wicklow’s Gaol.

Gaelforce 10k Howth Summit

The Gaelforce 10k Howth Summit is a course of varied terrain, taking runners from Howth Castle. The website says the climb is “satisfying” and takes in views of Howth Hill.

Wexford 10k

The Wexford 10k is set over a fast course with plenty of downhill descents – so perfect if you’re looking to achieve a personal best.

Run Kilkee 10k

Run Kilkee takes place in County Clare, with views of the dramatic and breathtaking loop head peninsula. It’s a running festival so there’s also a half marathon distance if you try the 10k and fancy a different challenge.

Tralee 10k Road Race

The Tralee 10k Road Race is as it says – a road race around the town of Tralee. The half marathon takes place in the same location later in the year, so if you want to test the water you can before challenging yourself to something longer.

Inis Oírr Wild Atlantic Island Run

Inis Oírr island is located off the coast of Galway. There’s a 10k and a 5k run taking place at the same time and the run is in aid of the secondary school on the island.

Achill 10k Run

The Achill Half Marathon won the Run Ireland’s Most Scenic Route award back in 2018 – so you’re in for a beautiful race.

Regeneron Great Limerick Run

The Great Limerick Run had more than 14,000 participants registered in 2019 – so you’re guaranteed a brilliant, supportive atmosphere if you choose it as your challenge. There are three different race lengths taking place on the day.
