<div>The last time Virginia Tech had a solar car team was in the late 1990s.

<div>This year, two transfer students decided to bring it back to life and formed Solar Car at Virginia Tech. Since its inception, they have collected a group of 30+ engineering students who are dedicated to the goal of designing and building a solar electric vehicle to compete at the American Solar Challenge.

<div>Sponsored by the likes of Blue Origin and MathWorks, the American Solar Challenge is a long-standing national engineering competition where student teams from universities such as MIT, Berkeley, and Illinois come together to race the solar cars that they developed.

<div>With this campaign, we are inviting you to support our goal to put Virginia Tech back in the competition for the first time in more than 20 years.
