Jay Polli's Kidney Transplant

Donation protected

Hello Family and Friends of Jay and Jennifer,

I’ve started this page on behalf of Jay Polli and Jennifer Natale (my sister-in-law) who have accrued significant medical expenses over the last 5 years.

Are you or do you know someone who is interested in being a kidney donor?  We pray Jay will get a new kidney soon. If you’d like to donate to him, please contact Temple hospital’s transplant team@ 1-215-707-8889. Looking for type O blood.

We are using this page to keep the attention about our need to identify a kidney donor public. The updates on this page share more details of this 5 year journey. For Additional Updates, please click the update tab on the right******

Jay was diagnosed with an  autoimmune disease called IgA Nephropathy in April of 2014 when he suddenly became ill and was hospitalized.  The disease has destroyed both of Jay's kidneys.

At the time of the hospitalization, his fiancé, Jennifer, was 7 months pregnant.  After the hospitalization Jay was no longer able to continue his work in an Atlantic City Casino. At the same time, Jennifer was let go from her job.  Jay’s daughter, Francesca, was born in June.  Soon after, it became evident that Jay would need a Kidney transplant.  Today Jay and Jenn are parents to two children. Jay has attempted to continue working in Atlantic City but his health and the kidney disease side effects have caused him to take repeated medical leaves.

A transplant is the only way to guarantee that Francesca and Elias will have a healthy daddy for years to come.  The last 5 years has been a rollercoaser of events for Jay and Jenn's family filled with lab tests, blood work, extreme diets, hospitalizations, multiple forms of dialysis, medication side effects, kidney disease side effects and lack of sleep.  Not to mention all the realities that come with having 2 toddlers and a sick partner; and the frustration that comes with having a desire to work but your physical health won't allow it.

I am asking friends and family of Jay and Jennifer to support their family financially. Jay’s been in and out of work for 5 years, and Jennifer has been out of work since Jay's first hospitalization because of caretaker needs.  They need assistance with hospital co-insurance, medication, the countless expenses not covered by insurance and support for their family during the critical time after the transplant. Money should be the last thing on Jay and Jenn's minds while they focus on regaining kidney strength, identifying a donor, and recovery.

We are so appreciative of everyone’s support, prayers and well wishes during this difficult and tumultuous time.  Your donation will go directly into a safe and secure account directed to support Jay and Jennifer.
