Will you help us keep our home?

I'm not one to ask for help, but desperate is the time, and there's nothing I would not do for my kids (age 2 and 9). We've had a very tough winter here in Missouri. I lost my job a while back. While we hunted for a new one, we have exhausted our savings and my small retirement. The lights are on, we have food, and heat. My children are warm, and have toys to play with. But as for rent, I have to come up with $400 by end of the day (01-06-15) and I just don't have it. Then another $200 by Friday. I've sold most everything of value, so I have nothing to offer but my gratitude. I've been to every church, outreach in town (Branson) including the Salvation Army. All say funds are not available at this time for rent assistance. I've never need to ask a thing like this before from strangers. But if we can't count on our brothers and sisters in our time of need, who can we count on? My wife starts a new job tomorrow, and I'm finally getting interviews. But it's not going to come soon enough. A pay check in a few weeks doesn't fix the need now. If anyone could help, even just a small amount, it all adds up. I have a donation page set up at gofundme.
