To My Family and Friends, What is your life's mission? What were you born to do and contribute to this world? These are questions that confront us regularly and challenge whether what we do on a regular basis helps or hurts our life mission. While a clear roadmap of the course of our entire life is not something you or I have the pleasure of receiving we are more able to identify signs which point us in the right direction. You, whether you know it or not have impacted the direction and orientation of my life; because of this I consider you both a sign and supporter to my mission. Since February 2012 I have attended Biblical Theological Seminary's Urban Mission program in response to a sign that pointed me to a life devoted to ministry and mission. While at the Seminary I have been inspired and stimulated to think, believe and act in a way that is centered on mission. On my way to completion of a Master of Divinity Degree, there is a program requirement - and just as much also a privilege of the program - to do a short-term missions trip to Nyahururu, Kenya in conjunction with PACE Ministries. I would ask that you partner with me in helping me to reach my fundraising goal of $3500 by May 5th. I understand that this is a large undertaking, but I believe that with your partnership I can reach this goal. While in Kenya some of our main opportunities will be bilateral leadership development and training: their training us and vice versa. We will be leaving on June 27th and returning July 9th. Our endeavor will also cover a number of holistic services and general fellowship that will be the outworking of the gospel message of our incarnate God revealed fully through The Lord Jesus the Christ. I have no doubt that as much as I will want to affect and impact the people while there in Kenya, I will be the one who is changed most by this experience. I anticipate and welcome the challenge to my current perspective of the world and look forward to applying this experience to my life’s mission.
