Lucy Mugungu's Final Journey

TO DONATE TOWARDS THIS CAUSE PLEASE CLICK THE LINK AT THE BOTTOM OF THE TEXT --- Lucy Mugungu is a 58 year old mother who was diagnosed with liver cancer in April 2014 this year and since then her life has taken a downhill turn. Lucy is someone who has always worked hard to cater for her children, extended family and others.

Lucy is in the advanced stage of liver cancer that has taken a toll on her health. She is currently hospitalized at Tufts Medical Center where she is undergoing palliative care. This has meant that there has been no income for her and her children back in Uganda. The cancer she has was detected in its advanced stage.

A GO FUND ME page has been set up to help meet her immediate bills and travel expenses as she makes her journey home to Uganda to be with her children and loved ones. The $20,000 dollars is broken down for travel to Uganda accompanied by a care giver, immediate hospice and medical care upon arrival. Donations however small will go a long way to help our sister travel back to Uganda and help her maintain a decent quality of life.

As a community of Ugandans living in the Diaspora we would like to honor Lucy's wish to go back home and be with her loved ones. We therefore invite the general Diaspora community and other supporters to join this initiative by helping Lucy meet her travel, medical and living expenses upon her return to Uganda.
