Kayla's Story:

My name is Kayla. I'm 27 years old, from Greenville, South Carolina. I have no children, and I have been battling endometriosis, Adenomyosis and PCOS for 15 years now. I'm a South Carolina Precinct Manager for The Worldwide EndoMarch, but have been unable to fully perform my duties of raising Endo Awareness because I'm just too sick. I have had 4 surgeries so far, including laparoscopic excision at the CEC in Atlanta (Dr. Sinervo) in January. The Endo was excised and a Presacral Neurectomy was performed, but I am still in excruciating, daily pain. I have been unable to work for 8 months because I have 3 or 4 (on average) ovarian cysts rupturing per month. I end up in the emergency room several times a month.

I started showing symptoms of Endo when I was only 12 years old. I was officially diagnosed via laparoscopic surgery when I was 15. Since then, I have had (as I stated) multiple, failed surgeries, and I've been on just about every hormonal treatment known to man. Including LUPRON. They put me on it after my first surgery (only 15 years old) for 18 months. The maximum dose approved by the FDA is 1 year, in two 6 month rounds with add-back therapy during the second round. I have permanent bone, memory, and hair loss because of it. I had dreams of being in professional roller-derby, but due to my fragile bones, I never could.  I lost my BEST years due to this wretched disease. I'm not asking to get my life back, that would be impossible, as I haven't really had much of a "life" since childhood. I'm asking to be given the chance at just a NORMAL life. I want to work again, hang out with my friends and family, go back to school, and do everything I've been unable to for the majority of my adult life. I have a FULL HYSTERECTOMY scheduled with Dr. Sinervo at the CEC, on September 25th. Yes, I am giving up my chances of ever having my own children, just for the chance to live a normal life. I plan to adopt later.

Please see my GoFundMe page for more info. Please pay special attention to the "Updates" tab, as I have posted videos and lots of other things in regards to my fundraiser.

Kayla is a young 27 years old. She was diagnosed with ENDOMETRIOSIS at age 15 and has had 4 total surgeries since then. All of them have failed to reduce her pain to even a tolerable level, including the excision surgery just 6 months ago - January 27th 2014. It is believed that her endometriosis is gone now (this has not been confirmed yet), but she also has Adenomyosis and PCOS. Because of this, she is at a very high risk of Ovarian and Uterine Cancer.

Kayla has ovarian cysts rupture 3 to 4 times a month right now, leaving her unable to work since January. Also, her Adeno pain is very bad. Dr. Ken Sinervo at the Center for Endometriosis Care will be performing a FULL HYSTERECTOMY, except leaving one ovary (right ovary) for hormones. The left is the one with the constant cysts rupturing.

**SURGERY IS SCHEDULED FOR SEPTEMBER 25TH 2014 AT NORTHSIDE HOSPITAL, IN ATLANTA, AT 7:15AM.**

A hysterectomy at 27 years old is not an easy decision, but Kayla is in so much constant pain that she is open to finding alternative methods of becoming a mother. She has always dreamed of being someone's mommy and is giving that up because the daily, chronic pain has gotten so bad.

Because Kayla has been unable to work over the past 8 months, she has no health insurance. She is working with the hospital program to get the lowest cost possible, but she still needs our help to make surgery possible. She desperately wants to live a "normal" life and hold down a steady job. She needs one more surgery to get there.

We're not asking for large donations. $5 is the cap, but of course, you may donate more, if you wish. God Bless and THANK YOU ALL!

**PRICE ESTIMATE FOR THE CEC IS $5500... HALF OF THAT ($2,750) MUST BE PAID UPFRONT BY SEPT 24th.

**PRICE ESTIMATE FOR NORTHSIDE HOSPITAL IS $30,000... OF WHICH, $3500 MUST BE PAID UPFRONT BY SEPT 24th.

**THESE AMOUNTS MUST BE PAID OR THE SURGERY WILL BE ::CANCELLED::.
