Update: Mark Jensen had triple bypass heart surgery on Monday, February 12 in Sioux Falls. Several weeks ago he began experiencing chest pains and was taken to the hospital in Spencer. More appointments and testing in Sioux Falls showed that he was in need of heart surgery as soon as possible.
The surgery was a success! Both his wife and son were able to be there with Mark. He is in Intensive Care and will likely be headed home after spending a week in the hospital. He is up and walking several times a day and is eating a little. He still had some tubes in and is very anxious to get them out!
Mark will be unable to work for at least 4-6 weeks. Mark has worked at H&N for many years. His wife, Kristal, runs a daycare in her home. They and their son Sam are active members of Hope Church and are some of the best people you'll meet. The financial stress of the surgery, travel expenses and time off from work is almost too much to bear. The Jensens' daycare families have set up this Go Fund Me account to help with the family's immediate financial needs during this difficult period.
