<div>Doña Ileana tiene 56 años. Pero no los aparenta. La vida dura, la pobreza extrema y la angustia constante le han robado el tiempo, la salud y el descanso. Vive con sus tres hijos —dos adolescentes de 12 y 14 años, y un joven de 24— y su pequeña nieta de apenas 2 años. Todos, bajo el mismo techo... si es que puede llamarse así.

<div>Su "casa" está construida con tablas sueltas, lonas rotas y clavos oxidados. No hay paredes de verdad. No hay piso. Solo tierra, piedras, polvo… y miedo. Miedo a que el viento se lleve lo poco que tienen. Miedo a las serpientes que se arrastran entre la grava. Miedo a enfermarse sin poder ir al médico. Miedo a que su nieta se despierte una noche llorando de calor… y no haya ni un ventilador que le dé alivio.

<div>No tienen baño. Hacen sus necesidades como pueden. Viven en condiciones que, para muchos, serían impensables. Pero para ellos, es el día a día.

<div>Y aún así, Doña Ileana no se rinde. Lucha, sobrevive, cuida. Hace lo imposible por darles algo de paz a sus hijos y a esa bebé que apenas empieza a conocer el mundo.

Un hogar donde esa niña pueda crecer sin miedo. Donde Doña Ileana pueda dormir sin rezar que no llueva y donde no tenga que dormir con el machete en la mano por el miedo de que alguien entre a robar. Donde sus hijos puedan estudiar, comer, vivir… como cualquier ser humano merece.
