Hi! My name Alison! I'd like to tell you about my running for L.I.F.E. marathon! It's probably not what you think.  I'm a wife, a mom, and a  mema.  I usually spend my days minding my own business and writing about my life on my blog,  "An Orphan's Battleground." I've made a lot of mistakes in my life, and lived through horrific abuse.  God has called me to the humble place of getting to share those mistakes and stories with the world.  That's the bad news, for me anyway! It's painful to be transparent about trauma.  The Good News, is that I get to write about how God rescued me, and how he keeps rescuing me! <img src="https://d2g8igdw686xgo.cloudfront.net/52797644_1607878795433874_r.jpeg" alt="52797644_1607878795433874_r.jpeg" width="100%" media_type="3" /> ***I am raising funds to help with my battle against breast implant illness.   I've never really done a fundraiser that would directly benefit me.  But this is part of my story, and this is what God has called me to do.  Twenty years ago I thought I needed to improve on my body and made the worst purchase of my life!

In 2013 I signed up to run a marathon for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.  That was the year my health plummeted.  Every time I tried to train, I felt pain on my chest.  Despite the fact that my training went so poorly I kept my commitment. <img src="https://d2g8igdw686xgo.cloudfront.net/52797644_160764576287164_r.jpeg" alt="52797644_160764576287164_r.jpeg" width="100%" media_type="3" /> It was dark out when we started the marathon. <img src="https://d2g8igdw686xgo.cloudfront.net/52797644_1607646164555346_r.jpeg" alt="52797644_1607646164555346_r.jpeg" width="100%" media_type="3" /> It took me 8 hours and 40 minutes to finish the race.  Afterwards, my legs were covered in welts and I was having trouble breathing.  In the medical tent they told me I was experiencing exercised induced anaphylaxis.  In other words my body was experiencing an allergy to running.  I hit rock bottom when I needed to start using a wheelchair to navigate through parts of my life, because I was in so much pain.   After many years of seeking answers from a lot of doctors, I finally learned that the truth of why my health was breaking down.  Breast Implant Illness has destroyed my life, and I will not get well if I don't have surgery.  I first confessed my struggle with my health on my blog, <a href="https://www.anorphansbattleground.com/sometimes-gods-delivery-is-traumatic/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">in this post here</a> , called, "Sometimes God's Delivery is Traumatic." ***I am advised that explant surgery is imperative After the surgery,  I am told my body will be trying to detox for about twenty months, which is one month for every year the implants were poisoning me. The bottom line is that I have a long and painful journey ahead of me to heal from this illness.  ***I need the funds by the end of 2020! I need a miracle! My surgery is scheduled for January, and I feel I'm making this plea at the midnight hour.  Because of the stress of being sick, and living under the stress of the pandemic, it's been difficult for me to get my story out.  It is quite brilliant that the Lord has brought me to this place in time.  I never would have had the guts to be this bold.  Victims don't have choices.  Victims just let life happen to them.  Overcomers, overcome, and that is what God has called me to do.! ***The funds that are raised will literally be life saving! God is calling someone in this story to help me. Is it you?  My job is to be a truth teller.  I tell the truth about me, and I tell the truth about God.  Sometimes I get scared because I believe the lie that people need to help, and oh how horrible my life will be if they don't.  The truth is that God uses people to help others, but he is not bound by people.  My God doesn't need help!  But he will bless you for helping.  Does that make sense? I have a lot of Big God Stories to tell! *God brought me and my kids out of homelessness.  *God erased a $50,000 debt.  *God gave me a miraculous healing! *God rescued me out of domestic violence! *God worked a miracle on my heart by showing me that He loves abusive men.  These are just a few stories.  I have been to hell and back in my life, and so far I've lived to tell about it! I want to keep living, I want to keep telling the Good News about Jesus, how he loves sinners, and binds up the broken-hearted.  I want to watch all of my children grow, and their children.  I want to see souls get saved! At some point during this pandemic I started realizing that I have literally been living a Running for L.I.F.E. Marathon.   A few years ago I started a small corporation called Family L.I.F.E. Team Co.  So far it's just ME, God, and the Angels.  L.I.F.E.  stands for God's people Living Intentionally For Eternity!  God has given me grand visions of building a farm where people can come to heal from trauma.  They will be able to learn all that God has taught me, and other overcomers will be there to offer what God has gifted them with.  From the trauma of 2020 God is going to bring unexpected blessings and favor far beyond what people could think of, ask for, or imagine! When God called me to be a voice for orphans and vulnerable children, I had zero confidence.  I told God that I was just one girl. In my mind I was a throw away girl. Nobody wanted ME.  No one seemed to see ME, and certainly no one ever listened to ME.  While I was walking through the bookstore at my church I saw a music CD by Shuree, called One Girl Can Change the World.  I bought the cd and brought it home.  I would listen to the music and ask God to help me believe that he could use ME.<img src="https://d2g8igdw686xgo.cloudfront.net/52797644_1607897087955918_r.jpeg" width="100%" media_type="3" alt="52797644_1607897087955918_r.jpeg" /> My full name is Alison ME Strutz!  Yes, my middle name is ME.  Having the middle name ME is significant and honors my parents Melissa and Merrill English.  As you can see they both shared the same first and last initials.   When I took my married name I condensed my middle name (McKinney) and my maiden name (English) down to ME.  I use the name Alison ME Strutz as a way of remembering the two people who brought me into this world.
