Uno de ellos fue extirpado hace 25 años; tras esa cirugía desarrollé hidrocefalia y tuve que ser intervenida tres veces en un lapso de cinco semanas, además de recibir una válvula de derivación, para drenar el exceso de liquido cefalorraquideo. Hoy enfrento las secuelas del segundo quiste, ubicado en la silla turca, cerca de la bolsa de Rathke, atras de la hipófisis (quiste aracnoideo sellar)

<div>Este quiste ha crecido y actualmente *presiona la hipófisis y el quiasma óptico, provocando desequilibrios hormonales, aumento de la presión intracraneal y problemas visuales. Mi neurocirujano me ha indicado que la cirugía es urgente, pues de no realizarse existe riesgo de pérdida de la vista o incluso un evento cerebrovascular*.

<div>A pesar de estas circunstancias, doy gracias a Dios por las personas que me han acompañado. Soy madre de un niño de 12 años y cuido a mi padre de 86 años, quien padece demencia frontotemporal. Trabajo en el ámbito editorial, pero actualmente mis ingresos no me permiten cubrir el costo total de la cirugía y del tratamiento post operatorio.
