Hello everyone, Our mom is going to be having a liver transplant done in January, Our older sister is her living liver donor. Unfortunately they will have to pay for a motel for a month and their own food as they will need to stay down in Toronto for follow up appointments after their surgeries. Being on a fixed income they are struggling to come up with the funds to afford the medical expenses that will accumulate. My mom and sister really hate asking for help with things especially when it comes to finances. Anything will help get her back to a healthy mom/Nana. Our sister is expected to have to stay in Toronto for about a week or so as long as all goes well and mom will be required to stay in Toronto for about 4-6 weeks before she can come back home.

Here is a little bit about our mom. She has the biggest heart and has always been there for her children and grandchildren and tried to always be there the best she can to be everyone's biggest supporter. Mom's health has been a frusting part of life for the last year or so and she has now found herself in end stage liver failure due to her diabetes. Mom had worked hard in her life and raised 4 children and loves to speand as much time with all her grandchildren and great grandchilden as much as she can.

A little about my sister Louise, she is the eldest and will be mom's living liver donor. our sister has always been like a second mom to us and would always do her best to help guide us in the right directions. She always been everyone's caregiver and then became PSW for several years, eventually going back to school and taking Addiction aned Mental Health and now helping individuals with disabilities. Our sister decided to donate a portion of her liver in hopes that we can keep mom healthy for as long as we can so our sister and mother can enjoy their children and grandchildren and create as many memories as we al can together.
