Julie's fund for life

Julie Edwards Dowell, mother of 2 and only age 37, was just diagnosed with stage 4 appendiceal (appendix) cancer. This is a very rare form of cancer and only a few hospitals in the United States have successfully treated it. She is going to MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston TX on October 9th and her insurance will not cover it. She needs $20,000 to cover the medical and travel expenses of just the first phase of treatment. We are hoping that after this first phase that she will be able to be treated closer to home in conjunction with MD Anderson, and that the insurance will help pay for the rest of the treatment. Please help us to ease the burden off of this family and get Julie the treatment she needs to get back to living life and raising her beautiful girls.
Julie is the daughter of Donna Utterback and Rich Callison, the niece of Jeanne Utterback and Robert Utterback and granddaughter of Margaret Schryver. Julie has two daughters, a 5 year old and a 14 year old, under her sole care. She is a Highway contract driver for the Postal Service. 
These are Julie's words: How very fast life can change...In the last month, I have been diagnosed with stage 4 Appendix cancer, a super super rare cancer, undergone a 7 hour surgery at UC Davis where they drained four liters of fluid from my stomach, removed over a foot and a half of mass cancer, gave me a complete hysterectomy, and took out my omentum and my appendix. They were able to get 85% of the cancer during surgery, however the 15% that is left is spread all over my liver and stomach walls, so now because appendix cancer is so rare I am going to be going to MD Anderson in Houston Texas to find out my next steps, whether I have to have another surgery or if I start my first chemo regimen...crazy, how fast life changes....
