<div>Hi, my name is Nicolina Larsson. I live in Sweden, in Malmö together with my partner Ibrahim Al Jarad. A cousin of Ibrahim, Mohanad Issa, 23 years old from Gaza in Palestine were traveling around just days before 7th of october.

<div>All of Mohanads family is still in Palestine, now in Rafah, together with around 1,8 million people. Mom, dad, two brothers

<div>(18 and 22 years old) and one sister (12 years old). They lived in Gaza but been through a lot - the war 2014 and now this horrible genocide. Their house is destroyed and they were forced to flee to Rafah.

<div>Wafa is Mohanad’s little sister, she is a child with Down syndrome. Before the genocide she loved life, laughing and dancing. There is no such thing anymore. Wafa is stressed out and traumatized, loosing hair and have no access to food or safety. She is not alone in this situation - all of her family is going through this trauma and starvation.

<div>The family got information about a way to travel from Rafah to Egypt. The only way to make it to a much safer place is if you can pay. They heard that it is possible to evacuate from Rafah to Egypt for a cost of 5000$ - for one person.

<div>The amount is not just a figure, it is a lifeline. The cost covers complex logistics and necessary arrangements to ensure their safe exit from Gaza, a region that has been their home, their history, but now their prison.

<div>Wafa är Mohanads 12åriga lillasyster med downs syndrom. Innan Israels folkmord gentemot palestinier var Wafa en levnadsglad tjej som älskade att skratta och dansa. Idag är hon stressad och traumatiserad av alla händelser, hon har varken tillgång till mat eller att befinna sig i trygghet. Hon är inte ensam om den här situationen - hela familjen lever på hopp om att få vara i trygghet och utan svält. Saker som många av oss tar för givet, utan att ägna en tanke av tacksamhet för det.

<div>Familjen har fått kännedom om att det finns en väg ut från Rafah till Egypten. Det enda sättet för att komma i säkerhet är att betala. Familjen har fått kännedom om personer som kunnat lämna Palestina till Egypten för cirka 5000 dollar - för en person.
