<div>My name is Gerardo, but everyone calls me Jerry. I’m originally from Jilotepec, Estado de México, and I grew up in Calpulalpan, a beautiful town surrounded by trees and green open spaces. In 2009, I left with a backpack full of dreams to study in the big and vibrant Mexico City. A year ago, I returned with many of those dreams fulfilled: my family, my daughter Chloe, and our two cats, Kira and Merlin.

<div>We came back looking for a healthier environment and a better quality of life for Chloe. After a year of adapting to the slower pace of life, I’ve been able to give back to this community that gave me so much.

<div>One of my most recent projects is <strong><em>a beginner English course</em></strong>, open to anyone who wants to learn. The local government provided the space, and I’ve done my best to supply the tools and materials. However, the budget wasn’t enough.
