My name is Samira Plummer-Brown and I will be traveling to Graz, Austria for AIMS Graz Opera Program July 4th - August 14th, 2022.

<div>I graduated in 2016 from the Duke Ellington School of the Arts where I was the first recipient of the Virginia Williams Opera prize in 2014. This prize is designed to create the next opera singer by providing funds for voice lessons, a music library, and travel abroad. This prize help me realize my passion for opera music and made me realize what my purpose is in life. Because of the opera prize, I was able to travel to Austria, Italy, and Germany for opera training. Later, I graduated from The University of Michigan in May of 2020 with a Bachelor of Voice Performance. My ultimate dream is to be an international opera singer/performer and this program will help me network, expand my repertoire, and help me grow as a professional musician.

<div>AIMS Vocal Program prepares you for a professional career in opera or on the concert stage. In six weeks of intensive study, I will join the Lieder Studio, receiving world-class instruction from professionals working at the top of their craft. Lieder Studio participants primarily study German Lieder and work with acclaimed professional coaches and pianists. Participants will range from students finishing undergraduate degrees to professionals seeking to reach the next level of their careers.

<div>Individual coaching on German Lieder (twice weekly)

<div>Audition training seminar
