Ever since I was little, my dad has had problems with drinking and sometimes even gets violent. Now with all of us stuck at home it’s so much worse. I need to find a place for my mother, my little sister and I to stay, but I can’t afford both rent and groceries. We’re afraid of getting seriously hurt.” - A.D., 19 y. o. from Port Credit Our team at Ample Labs is dedicated to empowering those of us facing homelessness with technology. As a tech non-profit, we’ve seen searches for food banks skyrocket above what’s currently available. We want to prevent people from falling into homelessness by helping them get resources before it gets to that stage. Our goal: We're here to feed GTA’s hungry with 30,000 meals in 30 Days. Your support will help us keep up with the demand for food AND make it easier for people to find help. The FoodFundTO mission: Food: We’re crowdfunding to support food banks AND local initiatives with buying food, and helping more people who are hungry get fed. Last year, Chalmers helped over 10,000 Torontonians find free services. Food is the first step, but it takes more than food to feed the needs of our neighbours in the GTA.
