<div>The emergency related to the war in Ukraine has not diminished. Many European states, including Poland, have taken in thousands of refugees. Poland a few million. But slowly the whole aid system is shutting down. Refugees, often elderly people or women with children, find themselves unable to find work, often thrown out of their homes because their landlords no longer receive welfare from the state, they don't know how to pay a rent that is out of reach of their income, even if they perhaps have a husband working a Ukraine. And increasingly they do not know how to put a hot meal on the table. That's why we created the Food Bank. Started on September 1, it has already received 1,000 requests from as many families, who can come to the foundation's headquarters twice a month to pick up a food package. The cost of each package is about 15 euros and contains all the basics: milk, flour, sugar, oil, salt, tuna, sardines, fruits, vegetables, bread, cookies, jam, juice for the children, rice, tomato sauce. When we find particularly good deals we also buy snacks and sweet snacks for the children. Once a month we will also give toilet paper, sanitary napkins, baby diapers. For toddlers we are thinking of a separate food package with milk and homogenized food, although in some states they are not used.

<div>L'emergenza legata alla guerra in Ucraina non è diminuita. Molti stati Europei, tra questi la Polonia, hanno accolto migliaia di rifugiati. La Polonia qualche milione. Ma piano piano tutto il sistema di aiuto sta chiudendo. I rifugiati, spesso anziani o donne con figli, si ritrovano a non trovare lavoro, spesso vengono buttati fuori di casa perchè i padroni non ricevono più il sussidio dallo Stato, non sanno come pagare un affitto che è fuori dalla portata delle loro entrate, anche se hanno magari un marito che lavora un Ucraina. E sempre più spesso non sanno come mettere a tavola un pasto caldo. Per questo abbiamo creato la Food Bank. Partita il 1 settembre ha già ricevuto 1000 richieste da altrettante famiglie, che potranno venire in sede della fondazione due volta al mese per ritirare un pacco alimentare. Il costo di ogni pacco è di circa 15 euro e contiene tutte le cose fondamentali: latte, farina, zucchero, olio, sale, tonno, sardine, frutta, verdura, pane, biscotti, marmellata, succhi di frutta per i bambini, riso, salsa di pomodoro. Quando troviamo delle offerte particolarmente vantaggiose compriamo anche merendine e snack dolci per i bambini. Una volta al mese daremo anche carta igenica, assorbenti, pannollini per bambini. Per i più piccoli stiamo pensando a un pacco alimentare a parte con latte e omogenizzati, anche se in alcuni stati non si usano.
