<div>No puedo contarles mi historia con mi propia voz, así que hoy mi mamá me presta la suya.

<div>Nací con una cardiopatía congénita muy compleja. Desde mis primeros días de vida, mi corazón tuvo que luchar más fuerte que el de otros niños. Mientras muchos bebés conocían su hogar, yo conocía hospitales, médicos y quirófanos.

<div>Mi mamá aprendió muy pronto a vivir entre el miedo y la esperanza. Aprendió a celebrar cada día conmigo como un regalo, porque nunca sabíamos qué batalla vendría después.

<div>Y las batallas llegaron.
</div>

<div>Pasé por procedimientos, hospitalizaciones y cirugías que intentaban darle a mi corazón una oportunidad de seguir latiendo. Pero después de una de ellas, ocurrió algo que cambió mi vida para siempre. Mi cuerpo sufrió complicaciones muy graves, tuve un paro cardiorrespiratorio y la falta de oxígeno provocó una lesión cerebral.

<div>Desde entonces vivo con parálisis cerebral severa.

<div>No puedo caminar.

<div>No puedo hablar.

<div>Hay muchas cosas que mi cuerpo no puede hacer, pero mi corazón sigue sintiendo.

<div>Sigo reconociendo a mi mamá cuando entra a la habitación.

<div>Sigo sonriendo cuando escucho su voz.

<div>Sigo buscando su mirada porque, después de todo lo que hemos vivido, ella sigue siendo mi lugar seguro.

<div>A veces pienso que si pudieran verla como yo la veo, entenderían que ella es la persona más valiente que conozco. Nunca se rindió cuando los médicos le daban noticias difíciles. Nunca se alejó de mi cama. Nunca dejó de creer en mí, incluso cuando el camino se volvió más oscuro.

<div>Hoy ella busca una nueva oportunidad para mí. Existe un tratamiento de terapias de radiofrecuencia DIBA que podría ayudar a mejorar mi calidad de vida y frenar parte del deterioro que mi condición provoca. No promete milagros, pero sí la posibilidad de que mis días sean un poco mejores.
