<div>Aitana Sofia Encarnacion Gómez es una niña de 4 años llena de sueños, risas y una energía que contagia a todos los que la rodean. Siempre ha sido una niña curiosa, le encanta bailar, nadar y pintar con su imaginación desbordante. Sin embargo, su vida dio un giro inesperado el 14 de febrero, se le detectó una masa en el riñón izquierdo, en días posteriores de varios estudios y una UROTAC con contraste fue diagnosticada con un tumor de Wilms en el riñón izquierdo. El 2 de marzo se le realizó una Nefrectomía Radical de Riñon Izquierdo y le extrajeron con éxito el riñón izquierdo y tumor cancerígeno con dimensiones 9.5x13x10 cm y peso de 613gr. El reporte de patología confirma un Nefroblastoma (tumor de Wilms) con histología favorable. Tras revisión de sus pulmones se confirma metástasis y de estar en un estadio 2, pasamos a 4 de 5 posibles…

<div>Aitana is a 4-year-old girl full of dreams, laughter, and an energy that infects everyone around her. She has always been a curious child, she loves to dance, swim, and paint with her overflowing imagination. Her life, however, took an unexpected turn on February 14th, when an unidentified mass was detected in her left kidney. Following several tests and a CT Urogram, she was diagnosed with a Wilms tumor in her left kidney. On March 2nd, she underwent a radical nephrectomy of the left kidney, successfully removing her kidney and a cancerous tumor measuring 9.5x13x10 cm and weighing 613 grams (3.7x5x3.9 in and 22 oz). The pathology report confirmed a nephroblastoma (Wilms tumor) with favorable histology. But after examining her lungs, metastasis was confirmed, and from stage 2, we moved to stage 4 of a possible 5 stages.

<div>This new diagnosis has been devastating for her parents, family, and friends. Aitana has begun chemotherapy, facing each session with bravery- even though the battle is arduous and the days have been difficult. In her heart, she holds the strength of a warrior, but she also needs our help to continue fighting.

<div>Continued chemotherapy is the best way to give Aitana a chance at beating this disease but it's a costly and lengthy treatment. Families facing these challenges are overwhelmed not only by the pain of watching their children go through all of this but also by the financial burdens it often entails. Aitana and her family need our solidarity now to cover her medical expenses and ensure she receives everything she needs for her treatment, without letting a lack of resources become an obstacle.
