<div>Hello, my name is Patricia Galaviz. I am 50 years old, and I was born with congenital hip dislocation. I remember my childhood clearly—I was never like other children because I

<div>always faced physical limitations.

<div>I underwent three surgeries as a child, but unfortunately, they didn’t bring lasting results.
</div>
<div>Over time, I went back to walking with a noticeable sway, and I’ve always had to use a shoe lift to even out the length of my legs and help reduce the pain in my left leg.
</div>
<div>Three years ago, my left hip fully dislocated. The head of my femur deteriorated, and I now require a total hip replacement. I have also developed severe damage in both knees (secondary bilateral gonarthrosis), which means I need knee prostheses as well.
</div>
<div>I have been living with lupus for 20 years, along with allergic asthma and a demyelinating disease affecting the white matter in my brain—this involves the loss of the myelin sheath, the protective layer that covers nerve fibers. Part of the cost for my hip and knee prostheses may be covered by my medical service, but the procedures have not been carried out yet due to financial limitations. In addition, I need to reach an ideal weight to ensure better long-term results for the prostheses. I used to weigh 103 kg and have managed to lose 10 kg, but I’ve been stuck for over four months. My specialist has told me that my ideal weight would be 65 kg. The only form of exercise I can do without harming my hip is swimming, which unfortunately comes with costs I cannotafford.

<div>Today, I am reaching out and asking for your support to help me raise the funds needed for

<div>bariatric surgery, as well as everything that comes with it—medical tests, nutritional

<div>supplements, post-surgery care, and physical therapy. Due to my condition, I will need highly

<div>personalized postoperative care focused on preventing respiratory and circulatory

<div>complications, such as thrombosis, since I currently have very limited physical activity.

<div>Afterward, I plan to continue with swimming, which I believe will help me reach my ideal

<div>weight, allowing me to receive the prostheses and walk again.

<div>I want to regain my ability to exercise and return to the life I once had, when I could walk

<div>Con el tiempo, volví a caminar con una marcada cojera, y siempre he tenido que usar una alza en el zapato para compensar la diferencia de longitud entre mis piernas y ayudar a reducir el dolor en mi pierna izquierda.

<div>Hace tres años, mi cadera izquierda se luxó por completo. La cabeza de mi fémur se deterioró y ahora necesito un reemplazo total de cadera. También he desarrollado un daño severo en ambas rodillas (gonartrosis bilateral secundaria), lo que significa que también necesito prótesis de rodilla.
