<div>Gracias por leernos y conocer un poco de la historia de nuestra hermosa bebé de 2 años Karla María .

<div>Karlita nació con un cardiopatía congénita llamada Comunicación Interauricular Amplia (CIA) la cual le fue detectada desde los 2 meses de edad . Desde que se le detectó el soplo ya contaba con un tamaño bastante grande (8X9.8 mm) y se nos comentó que en estos casos casi siempre terminaban en algún tipo de intervención médica para poder cerrarlo; y así tendrá que ser , lamentablemente y a pesar de los medicamento y esfuerzos en estos dos años no logramos que el soplo cerrara o disminuyera de forma natural, a contrario ahora mide 15X9 mm, por lo tanto requerirá una cirugía a corazón abierto pues por las características de su soplo no es apta para una intervención por medio de catéterismo. Además, en el última tomografía realizada en el mes de Abril del 2026, se le detectó otro problema, Estenosis en las venas pulmonares, en el caso de Karla son en las dos de su lado izquierdo. Debido a esto, se necesitará realizar otro procedimiento para corregir este problema, ya que de no hacerlo, aunque se le opere del corazón, puede seguir teniendo complicaciones pulmonares con el tiempo .

<div>El apoyo que estamos solicitando es para poder cubrir el costo de la operación a corazón abierto, el catéterismo exploratorio que se le realizará para checar el problema de las venas pulmonares y la cirugía  para corregir la anomalía de estas mismas, ya que no contamos con los recursos económicos para cubrirlas pues mi esposo es el único que trabaja ya que yo soy ama de casa desde que nació karlita para cuidarla y estar al pendiente de su cardiopatía.

<div>Thank you for reading and knowing a little about the story of our beautiful 2-year-old baby, Karla María.

<div>Karlita was born with a congenital heart defect called a Large Atrial Septal Defect (ASD), which was detected when she was 2 months old. When the cardiac murmur was detected, it was already quite large (8 x 9.8 mm), and we were told that in these cases, some type of medical intervention was required to close it. Unfortunately, despite medication and efforts over these two years, we haven't been able to get the murmur to close or decrease naturally. On the contrary, it now measures 15 x 9 mm. Therefore, she will require open-heart surgery because, due to the characteristics of her murmur, she is not a candidate for catheter-based intervention. Furthermore, in the last CT scan performed in April 2026, another problem was detected: pulmonary vein stenosis. In Karla's case, it affects both veins on her left side. Because of this, another procedure will be necessary to correct this problem, since if it isn't addressed, even with heart surgery, she may continue to experience pulmonary complications over time.

<div>The support we are requesting is to cover the cost of the open-heart surgery, the exploratory catheterization to check the pulmonary vein problem, and the surgery to correct the anomaly in these veins. We do not have the financial resources to cover these costs, as my husband is the only one who works; I have been a stay-at-home mother since Karlita was born, caring for her and monitoring her heart condition.
