<div>You may have known Alex from teaching Zumba, GVSU, Roosevelt Park Ministries, Kent County, The Hispanic Center, Lee High School, Mary Free Bed, teaching healthy eating for the YMCA, or from any of the three gyms, he belonged to. He loved working out and helping others.

<div>Unfortunately, our beloved Alex (Alexander Reyes) recently passed away on December 6, 2021. Alex was a wonderful son, student, friend, and community worker with a focus on Public Health who touched the lives of those around him and was loved by all. He leaves behind his beloved mother who was the light of his eyes. Alex was only 25 years old and had a lot of drive.

<div>Alex dedicated his life to being the main support for his mom as well he used to volunteer at some local nonprofits and worked in a few different organizations. 
</div>
<div>We are all devastated by Alex’s loss and his family was not prepared for this. Especially his mom who was all she had by her side. Alex was her only son and the only family member she had here in Grand Rapids. 
</div>
<div>We are currently asking for donations to help his mom cover any cost that comes up. 
</div>
