Medical Expenses for Mark Johnson

Last Wednesday, May 30th, our dear friend Mark Johnson began having serious pain in his neck and back.  He thought he had herniated disks in his neck.  He visited a doctor and then landed in the ER that Saturday. Unfortunately neither place properly diagnosed him. He continued to worsen. This was Memorial Day weekend so he couldn't get into another doctor until Tuesday. The doctor called Bill with an urgent message Wednesday morning to get Mark to the hospital immediately. He had a massive infection in his spine and was in serious condition. They did emergency surgery Wednesday night to remove the infected abscesses on his spine. Not only was he in tremendous pain, he had lost much of his motor skills.  Surgery was successful and they were able to take him off of the ventilator Saturday.  Mark has a very slow recovery ahead of him.  Once he is able to leave ICU, he'll be in the hospital for several days then will need extensive rehab to try and regain use of his limbs. The medical bills will be staggering. We're asking if you could help our wonderful friend. He's meant so much to so many of us.
