<div>Hace más de 13 años mi vida cambió por completo. Recuerdo que antes era un hombre fuerte, trabajador, lleno de energía. Me dedicaba a la hojalatería, a reparar zapatos… a todo lo que pudiera ayudarme a sacar adelante a mi familia. Siempre he tenido sueños, ganas de superarme, de darles a mis hijas y a mi esposa una vida digna, aunque las circunstancias nunca han sido fáciles.

<div>Todo comenzó con un diagnóstico que jamás imaginé recibir: insuficiencia renal. Desde entonces, mi cuerpo empezó a fallar. Lo que parecía una enfermedad que se podía controlar, se fue complicando con los años. Me aferré a seguir trabajando, a no rendirme, pero mi salud empezó a deteriorarse poco a poco.

<div>Después vino un problema del corazón. Y con eso, la necesidad permanente de oxígeno. Ya no puedo estar ni un solo segundo sin él. Me acompaña día y noche. Es mi sombra, mi respiración. Sin oxígeno, simplemente no puedo vivir.

<div>Como si eso no fuera suficiente, también sufrí un derrame cerebral. Eso me dejó secuelas en la vista; ya no veo como antes. Y por si el destino no hubiera sido lo suficientemente duro conmigo, un medicamento que me recetaron terminó por quitarme la audición. Ahora vivo en silencio, sin poder escuchar las voces de mis hijas, el timbre de la puerta, el sonido de la vida. Todo se fue apagando.

<div>He tenido varias caídas que me han dejado imposibilitado para caminar solo. Necesito ayuda para casi todo. Ya no puedo estar sin compañía, y eso también ha sido muy duro, porque siempre fui un hombre independiente, acostumbrado a valerse por sí mismo. Depender de otros no es fácil, pero he tenido que aprender a aceptar.

<div>Y, sin embargo, aquí estoy. Vivo. A pesar del dolor, de las limitaciones, de las noches interminables con el cuerpo cansado, sigo soñando. Porque a pesar de todo, aún tengo metas. Quiero ver crecer a mis hijas, quiero seguir siendo parte de sus vidas. Me aferro a la vida por ellas, por mi esposa, por la esperanza de un nuevo día, aunque el cuerpo ya no me responda como antes.

<div>Las ganas de trabajar, de ser útil, de volver a hacer lo que amo, nunca se han ido. Solo que ahora mi cuerpo ya no me permite seguir como antes. Me siento debilitado, sí, pero mi espíritu aún resiste. Mi corazón, aunque enfermo, aún late con fuerza por lo que amo.

<div>Esta ha sido mi historia. No es fácil de contar, ni de vivir. Pero también es una historia de lucha, de fe, y de amor por mi familia. Porque cuando ya no te queda fuerza en el cuerpo, lo único que te sostiene… es el amor.
</div>
<div>Hoy pido ayuda porque no puedo trabajar y en casa somos 4 bocas por alimentar, se necesitan cosas básicas para mis hijas, mi esposa y para mí un sinfín de medicamentos y tratamiento médico que no puedo sostener económicamente, estoy claro de que probablemente no podré retribuirles su contribución, pero eso servirá para poder mantener mi vida con al menos la esperanza de que no nos falte comida en la mesa.
