Lindsey's Road to Recovery

Meet my sister Lindsey Collins and my niece Raylen. Lindsey's a single mother with no support from Raylen's father.  About a year and a half ago Lindsey started to experience major pain in her neck and shoulders. She went to several doctors to get it looked at when she started to have numbness in her arms and started dropping things. Her original doctor missed a huge problem on her MRI and X-rays and Lindsey got treated for over a year with a misdiagnosis. The treatment actually made her condition worse. By the grace of God she got a second opinion when she couldn't even hold my niece anymore. Afraid she would do something that could hurt her or Raylen because of the pain and loss of motor functions she went to see a different doctor.

This past summer Lindsey was diagnosed with Chaiari malformation (Chaiari malformation is a condition where the brain tissue extends into the spinal canal)  and also multiple cervical disk herniation's. She will need to have 2 separate surgery's for these and will be out of work for up to 6 months.

The first surgery will be on her disk herniation's for disk extrusion's. It is already scheduled for September 27th. The second one will be the more extensive one and will be scheduled after she recovers from the first surgery.

As a big sister and Aunt, I wish I could do more. That's why I'm making this go fun me page. She's worried of how she will pay for the medical expenses and also how she will be able to make ends meet while she's off work recovering from these surgeries. I'm hoping this will help relieve some of the burden. I know she would appreciate any amount anyone can give and it would mean the world to me.
