Hello, I'm Candia and I'm helping out my great friends Harry & Tracy Nunn.They both, are not only wonderful people & parents but huge assets to our community. Both Harry and Tracy have fully dedicated the last several years of their lives to the Santa Ynez Valley AYSO (America Youth Soccer Organization) as volunteers, while raising their two daughters, on top of that Harry has served as the volunteer Regional Commissioner, which is more than a full time job, for the last 3 years. Tracy as well has been a board member and group leader for the Girl Scouts. It's times like these that we need to pull together as a community and support those that support our Valley!
On 7/20/2015 Harry underwent surgery to correct an ongoing health issue, the surgery took 7 hrs, which was not anticapted but he came through it. Shortly after he went into cardiac arrest and was immediately rushed back into surgery where they performed an emergency double bypass on his heart. After another 5 hrs of surgery he was released into ICU. While in ICU Tuesday 7/21, at 9pm Harry went into cardiac arrest -His heart stopped for about 2 minutes and they revived him using compressions. Currently he is stable and still at SB Cottage Hospital and will be medivaced by helicopter 9/22 to Cedar Sinai Hospital in LA. Once there a team of cardiologists in place they will be implanting an artificial heart and awaiting a heart transplant.
Tracy's family has arrived to be with them. The family has requested that Tracy to not be contacted-- She's been a rock but can't afford to spread her emotions thin. You can use the link below to send your messages.
It's been a hell of a three days, Tracy is hanging in there and Harry is fighting but he's very, very sick and his recovery will be long and hard.
I ask that you please consider making a donation of any amount to help them during this time. While Harry does have insurance the costs around this are enormous and they will need help.
