Dollar $tore & Party Connection

Dollar $tore & Party Connection is a part of the wonderful community located in the Carson Valley. It was opened by owner Wayne Byrnes and his assistant manager Lari Russ in November 2014. While in business Lari and Wayne made many new friends and they were becoming more involved in the community. Members of the Gardnerville Chamber of Commerce, becoming involved with the professional womens group WISE and entering local street fairs and helping nonprofit groups as they could. Dollar $tore & Party Connection was becoming a go to place not only for party supplies but also just to visit and socialize.

On July 11, 2015 a disaster struck this new business and a fire started inside the store. Thankfully, no one was hurt in this fire but their business is almost completely destroyed. Even though the business is covered by insurance, daily business and personal bills are still coming due. This is now getting extremely dangerous for Lari and Wayne as they are quickly running out of reserves to cover any of their expenses. It will at least a couple of months before any possible decission can be made by the property owner as to reopening at that site. Even though both Lari and Wayne want to reopen as soon as they can. This means reordering all new product, racks, shelving, computers, registers and everything they had spent months putting together to open the first time. 

We are asking this wonderful community for their help. Anything will be greatly appreciated as we continue to begin rebuilding our lives here in this community.
