Rusty needs your help with his recent trips to the Vet and Animal Hospital
Last week my cat was straining to go to the bathroom and wasn't getting any stool out. I took him to the vet on Saturday morning to see what the issue was and it turned out to be severe constipation and his entire colon was full. The vet work on giving Rusty a couple enemas but we ended up having to transfer him to a Animal Emergency Hospital. After over $500 at the vet I was looking at another $600-1100 for him to stay overnight.
On Sunday morning I got a call from the Animal Hospital and the Vet said he still hadn't defecated. He would need to stay overnight again so they give more enemas and try to get a bowel moment. Staying the additional night would bring the total to somewhere around $2000. I went and visited him on Sunday night and he seemed to be his normal, overly purring, self. For anyone that has met Rusty his purr is very distinct and he can purr for hours on end.
On Monday morning I called and got good news. He had deficated during the night and seemed to be a little better. They took another X-ray and found there was still stool in his colon but it was much more hydrated. I picked him up Monday night and settled my $2200 bill for the two day stay.
He was very happy on the car ride home.
He's back home now but hasn't had a bowel movement yet. If he hasn't by tomorrow I will need to take him back into the Vet to have him checked out. I'm not normally one to ask for money from anyone but the bills for him have piled up very quickly over the last 4 days. Any amount would be much appreciated and I would be very grateful.
Rusty tried to help me post this gofundme page but ended up on Ebay looking for a X-box. I think he's trying to find something to take his mind off what happened at the Vet and Animal Hospital.
