The rescue needs a different car
Donation protected
we help many dogs and cats that live on the streets .. here in Costa Rica ..many are sick and need veterinarian care .. all that we rescue are vet checked within 48 hours of receiving them.. we are often at the vets office 3/4times a week ..sometimes twice in one day ..we also travel to many areas to get the animals adopted..our personal car that we purchased when we first moved here was old and we were planning on just using it for moderate travel but once the rescue opened we used it a lot ..way more than we had planned.... A few months back we took a trip to a rescue a kitten and we had engine troubles and the car is not repairable .. we have been asking friends to take us to the vet or to take an animal to be adopted..and often have to take taxi's to town to purchase food and medicines it is a very difficult situation to be without a car .. we struggle financially with the medical bills the veterinarian bills the cost of the food and there's no leftover in the budget to purchase a car....the Costa Rica government has no financial help for the unwanted neglected abused animals here.. .so all of animals financial responsibilities has been the rescues .. we try to raise as many donations as possible to help with the cost but we never have received enough to cover the bills totally and we use our own money to cover what is left... our website is www.HomelessandHelpless.com and our facebookpage is Homeless&Helpless we have many success stories and we would love to continue to be able to help without a car it is a very difficult .. as we are 30 minutes by car from the vet and we are 15 minutes from town we often travel 3 to 4 hours to adoption fairs and to the much need Spay&Neuter clinics..so please if you can find it in your heart and your pocketbook we certainly would appreciate it please check out our website and our Facebook page Thank You..
