Helping Pastors in Need

The most significant events in our lives – the birth of a child, the loss of a loved one, the joining of a couple in marriage, the commitment to serve the Lord – are attended by a pastor, chaplain, or priest.  These men and women serve as comforters, guides, and confidants literally 24/7, 365 days a year.  Though it is their joy and privilege to do so, that availability can leave them exhausted and discouraged if time is not set aside to refresh their spirits.  Our mission is to provide a safe haven for weary and wounded pastors and their spouses. The people who need to get a break the most are often those who can afford it the least. The money for this campaign will go to fund the next year's retreats. This will allow the retreats to be free of charge to the pastors attending. 

Lisa is the President and Founder of Barnabas House of Oklahoma.  As a third generation pastor, Lisa has experienced first-hand the blessings and struggles of bi-vocational ministry. Lisa has earned her M.A. in Practical Theology at Oral Roberts University in 2012, her M.Ed. in Counseling from the University of North Texas in 2005 and her B.A.S. in Psychology/Music from Dallas Baptist University in 2002.
