I want to thank you for taking time to read this.  I had it rough since day one, but I never complained about it. I kept working towards my goals, and at times i fell on my face. I just got up and worked at it again.  Growing  up in a single parent home makes things hard, but I didnt allow it to stop me from trying to  becoming somebody. I screwed up most of my life, and it took prison to do it. I'm not career criminal, I just made a mistake and I paid for it like I should have. I spent 28 months in prison from June 2007 until Oct 2009.  I believe God sat me down to get my attention. "Whoever heeds discipline shows the way of life, but whoever ignores correction leads others astray." (Proverbs 10:17) . I want to be everything people said I couldn't be, not only do I want to do it for me but I want to do it for the youth and those people who are hopeless. I changed and so can you is what I tell people.  You have to take steps and the first step is God.  Jeremiah 29:11 tells us that God knows the plans he has for us, but we must listen. "For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."   I believe there is always a way to succeed if you work hard and do things the correct way.  We all are driven by different things,  My drive comes from seeing other people struggling and knowing I could be a beacon of hope for them . I believe God placed me here to help and inspire other people. We have a huge drug and crime problem in America and it needs to be addressed.  America is only 5% of the world's population but we own 25% of the world's prison population. I believe I can be of some help not only to the system but our youth.  I started college in 2000, and I just received my masters degree Last August 2016. I know that aything is possible , and I truly believe in change. change doesn't happened overnight but it's possible when you continue to work at it. I'm the only one in my family history with a Masters degree . I also hold 2 bachelors degrees. 1 in psychology and 1 in interdisciplinary studies. I hit my student loan limit with my Masters Degree. I don't have a perfect G.P.A., but I worked hard and currently hold a 3.78 average.  I never been  the type to ask people for help, but I humbled myself and I'm asked. "If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. To be honest I was pretty embarrassed in creating this, but I really want to complete this PHD program in Criminal Justice. God gave me another chance at life and I want to help others." Do not neglect to do good and to share what you have , for such sacrifices are pleasing to God." Hebrews 13:16
