Support families in Bangladesh

Since we left LAMB, Bangladesh in 2013 my family and I have continued to support friends and family in the country who are extremely poor. Some are school children, others are taking nursing training. Still others are at University (and their parents have taken crippling loans to pay for it) and one child we support is autistic and requires specialist educational and behavioural help. On top of this we help support our two former ayahs who have been unable to find work for more than a year. This income is the only stable money they have to suport their families.

Although the cost of living is much less in Bangladesh than here in the UK, the cost of supporting so many is taking its toll on our finances and we cannot continue to give such support on our own for much longer. We are therefore reaching out to the wider community to help us continue to make sure families can survive and children can receive important education.

A further dream is to raise the funds for one of us at least to make a return trip to Bangladesh and check over the work we handed over there and help out at LAMB NGO - as well as see so many who are dear to us.  Vikki would go out to work with the Rehab centre hopefully in November.

£1000 will enable us to support all these people for at least another year and £500 will cover the air ticket and cost of living for a couple of weeks in Bangladesh for one person.
