Volunteering for Animals - Global
Donation protected
[This puppy was the dog of a homeless man in Nice, France. He seemed well taken care of and loved.]
My two favourite things in this world are travel and animals, and when the two shall join are the days when I am most happy. If i had the opportunity to travel around and volunteer for animals then I beleive that would be a life well spent.
My goal is to volunteer at various humane societies, sanctuaries, orphanages, etc across the globe. Specifically:
South Africa - Elephant Orphanage - https://www.podvolunteer.org/Animals/elephant-south-africa.html
Thailand - Elephant orphanage - http://www.frontier-ca.org/projects/85/Thailand-Elephant-Conservation
Kenya - Unite Nations Conservation Research
India - Humane Society
Japan - Humane Society
Found this great site ill likely work through: http://www.oneworld365.org/activity/animal-volunteer-projects
I have taken a lot of time to think about life, as we all have. I have thought about the vastness of our world, the many beautiful cultures and people that fill it, and the great number of animals that roam every acre of land. I then think about the daily grind. The bills, the 9-5, the traffic, the small talk at dinners with potential dates that go nowhere... and I wonder, why?
There are many amazing causes on this site. Those trying to survive, save lives, rebuild, and I believe they all deserve the money. But if you do, however, have a few extra dollars to give after helping out someone truly in need I would love nothing more than to show you the world through great stories and the most beautiful photos I am able to take, and to help animals across the globe through volunteer and awareness. And if I happen to hug an elephant, find my true love, and/or save a life... I'll be even more forever greatful.
And what was it about the puppy in france? Well... if everyone had a few extra dollars to give, as I hope to, how nice would it be to buy that man and dog a nice dinner? Because we all deserve to be treated.
This is me asking for help. Help to see what life and this world truly have to offer beyond the daily grind and give back to causes that matter and to the sustainability of our earth. Because we were not born to just pay bills and die.
