Sweetest Dog in Need of Vet Care!

This is Rupert's story.
While going through extremely tough times, as well as depression, Rupert's mommy had nowhere to go. It is my understanding she was paying her ex-husband to watch and take care of her dog and cat. But, instead he just watched them deteriorate. He threatened almost daily to take her pets to the pound. When mom finally removed Rupert from the house, he was so thin, I was shocked.
She sent him to live with a friend of hers, and missing her, ran away to find her.
He is staying with me now, and it's heart breaking to see that many of his teeth during this time deteriorated and now need to be removed immediately. He is very under weight because his mouth hurts too much to eat any food.
I, and Mary-the wonderful woman who found Rupert running the streets, have put up the $531 to get him blood work, vaccinations, antibiotics.... Now his teeth have to go.
Please please please help. I can't watch such a sweet animal be in such bad shape, and I do not have the money to pay for any of this. We all go through horrible times in our lives: divorce, homelessness, loss of jobs, loss of loved ones... Unfortunately we aren't the only ones who suffer. When someone can't take care of themselves, they also can't take care of their pets, but she tried, and Rupert is unfortunately suffering.
