Help Colson Walk!
Hi Everyone!
Please check out our blog at www.tabbertfamily.com for more information.
I set up this page in the hopes of helping to pay for the high costs we are incurring with Colson's current surgeries. We are flying to and from Philadelphia every other week and are currently looking at a cost of almost $1,000 just for this week's trip alone.
Additionally, we will be heading out there in October to operate on the other leg. The money raised will help cover my FMLA leave away from work, our flights, our Ronald McDonald house stay, food and gas (we will drive to Philly and back for the surgery in October). It will also help cover the follow up flights in October/November to Philly every other week as well. We are hoping for Miracle Flights, but haven't had success yet with them, but we will keep trying.
The point of these surgeries is to straighten Colson's legs which are currently fixed at an approximate 90 degree angle. The angle of his legs is one of the things which prevents him from walking. Once his legs are straight, the hope is that he will be able to walk!
I am also holding photo sessions (visit me, Jennifer Leigh Photography on facebook! - My page is the one with the picture of Cayleigh with her hands over her mouth), and all money raised will go towards funding these trips. Please let me know if you are interested in a session.
We truly appreciate everyone's thoughts, prayers and support, we have the most amazing family and friends.
PS: Any amount raised over our goal amount will be donated as a 3-way split between Colson's support group (AMCSI), Shriner's Hospitals, and the Ronald McDonald house charities.
