Please help us pay for lil-E's vet bills
Short Story:
Our 5 month old corgi puppy was brutally kicked and now has a broken shoulder, if she needs surgery it could be 4500$ yesterdays hospital visit has already cost us 1200$
As a young couple with low income we need your help !
Detailed Story:
On July 10th 2015 we were at Father Lacombe School amonst family and friends, waiting for the other slopitch team to show up. After a no show we decided to practice as a team.
I decided to take a break to check on lil-E as she was teathered to my chair and had my father in-law looking after her. Just as I sat down 4 guys came from the other baseball field and proceeded to walk through our field. Thinking it was odd we watched them to insure they wouldn't get hit by a flying ball.
One guy walked by lil-E and our chairs, said Hello as she sniffed him politely and he kept on with his walk. Seconds later we turn our head to the next guy walking by. Lil-E being an excited young pup she was excited to meet the next guy. She stands patiently waiting for his arrival while wiggling her fluffy butt...
He started to run...
We were thinking he was just trying to get out of our way. Instead! Tragedy hits us and he brutally booted lil-E as hard as he could with his STEEL TOED BOOTS shooting her into the air.
You could hear the impact all the way from third base. She immediately start screaming at the top of her lungs in pain. It is one of the worst sounds a mom never wants to hear. She couldn't stop, we knew right then she was injured very bad. I instantly leaped up to grab her so no further abuse could happen. I'm so thankful I decided to check on her and sit with her as she was only a few feet away from my reach. I only wish I could have taken the blow instead.
After talking with family and friends we have learned that he said "Dogs have no feelings, thats why I did it"
He also had an altercation earlier with the other field and bothering their dogs aswell. After the team was screaming at them to leave, that's when they walked over to our field.
He is now in police custody and will be held for a couple of days. However, police said that he will be released and must show up for a court date in around a month.
We also learned that he already had a warrant out for his arrest, so we know he doesn't show up for any court dates. I so badly wish I could make him pay for all the damages he has caused our lil pup to endure. However, we know he will never be held responsible as he has NO job, NO house, NO car.
It sickens me that there will be no justice for our girl.
Please please help us raise money to help pay for her bills. We want nothing more than for lil-E to come home a healthy and happy puppy.
