Help me get back on the road!

Since I was a child I have always been the type of person that would rather do something by ones self than ask for help. But I now find myself stuck in a position where I cannot do it without help. Being almost 20 I would say that I have done alot to better myself and my future. I moved out at 18 and began to develop a savings along the process. I found this car for sale locally that was in my budget. I checked out the vehicle  and it ran smootly with no weird sounds knocks or surges and was able to pay half in cash and the remaider I had financed through a bank so I could build my credit. This was my first time ever taking out a loan and it was very hard for a bank to trust me enough to loan me the money. I finally was able to prove myself and managed to get the loan by myself. Ive been making payments on the car for 5 months and have been able to drive it for a total time of approx. a month. After a few weeks of owning it, it started to act up and break slowly. I took it in to get looked at in two different shops and have spent enough on repairs that I could have paid it off but I needed a way of transportations to work and school so it needed to be fixed. About a month ago the timing chain snapped while I was traveling home. After already shelling out all I have into the car I am hit with a $4000 bill. I work full time and have been able to save up a decent portion of the cost. My 20th birthday is coming up in the next few days and I would love nothing more than to be able to drive my own vehicle again.
