Trudy Jones tragically taken in Tunisia Terror Attack
On 26 June 2015, Trudy Jones (whose maiden name was Birchard) mother of four and grandmother of eight, from Blackwood in South Wales, was murdered whilst sunbathing and enjoying the last few days of her holiday in Tunisia. She was due to fly home to the UK on 28 June 2015, just two days later.
She was killed when 23 year old student Seifeddine Rezgui opened fire on innocent tourists who were sunbathing on the beach.
Trudy was a loving, caring and popular woman who worked in the Blackwood community as a carer for the elderly. Trudy's family, including her 84 year old mother, remain devastated and heartbroken about her death. They are still struggling to come to terms with the fact that Trudy went on holiday and will never return because of the actions of this one man, who took Trudy's life without any consideration or care for the irreparable damage and upset this would cause to her family, friends and the community within which she worked and lived.
Trudy's family are grateful to those that have visited and who have made donations. They are truly comforted by the support that they have received during this difficult time. Whilst they continue to morn the loss of Trudy and come to terms with what has happened, they kindly ask that if any donations are made, that they are made via Gofundme or into the Trust fund which has been set up in Trudy's name.
