Need to make accessible bathroom

Hello, my name is Tammie Church. I need your help to cover the cost of putting in a larger door to our bathroom and make it more accessible for my walker. I have been diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease. It has been since 2000 when I first noticed the symptoms.
Unfortunatly the disease has progressed and in 2007 I had to have Deep Brain Stimulation surgery which helped the right side of my body to not shake.
Before the surgery I was not able to function much at all. In 2008 my brain decided to make the left side of my body shake and in I went again for another surgery but that one still left me with some tremors. I have been able to get around for the last few years up until 2014 when it was all I could do getting around with my walker or wheelchair.
Anyway, the door to my bathroom is only a 26 inch door and we would like to have it 30 inches at the least, also the walls are getting pretty dinged up from my walker.
My new Deep Brain Stimulation surgeries in 2014 have helped give me some mobility back. Parkinson’s disease is very progressive and I am not sure when the tremors will put me back in my walker and wheelchair. This is why we hope to make the bathroom more accessible so it is done before I have to go through that door with my walker again. The contractor figures it will be about $5000 to put in a larger door and new cabinets and countertop since the floor plan needs changed to make room for the larger door. We have been able to put a ramp up to the front door, a walk-in tub and purchase a van with a wheelchair lift, however, we can sure use your help to fix the bathroom up for me.
This is me keeping up with the news from my 8 grandchildren who live all over the country. I love to see them when I can (not often enough for this Meme). I also love to see my birds and flowers outside.
